What is Shan Koe Mee

Myanmar's traditional card game, reimagined in digital form

Shan Koe Mee is a traditional card game loved across Myanmar. It uses a standard 52-card deck in the Koe Mee format, with 2 to 6 players at a table, and winners are decided by the best 3-card hand. What started in city card circles can now be played from anywhere through online platforms like 799slot.

Shan Koe Mee used to be found only at evening card sessions. Now 799slot has it open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can play in Live Casino format or in game mode — the choice is yours.

Hand Rankings

Shan Koe Mee Hand Rankings Chart

3-card hands are ranked in the order below. The highest hand is 3-A (Three Aces) and the lowest is not 3-K (Three Kings) but a low mixed hand such as A-2-3.

Rank	Hand Name	Description
1	Three of a Kind (Three matching cards)	Three cards of the same value — e.g. A-A-A, K-K-K
2	Straight Flush	Three consecutive cards of the same suit
3	Straight	Three consecutive cards of mixed suits
4	Flush	Three cards of the same suit, not consecutive
5	Pair (Two matching cards)	Two cards of the same value + one different card
6	High Card	None of the above — highest single card wins

* In Three of a Kind, A-A-A ranks higher than any low three-of-a-kind such as 3-2. When two players both have Three of a Kind, the higher value wins.

How to Win

Strategies experienced players use in Shan Koe Mee

Card counting awareness

Skill

When estimating the chances of turning a Three of a Kind into a Straight from the remaining cards in hand, counting outs makes the decision clearer.

Bet Management

Money

A single bet should never exceed 5% of your balance — keeping within this limit controls your losses and extends your playing time.

Reading a Bluff

Skill

Experienced players can bet big even with weak cards. Recognising their playing patterns and reading bluffs lets you respond strategically when you hold a strong hand.

Choosing Whether to Look at All 3 Cards

Strategy

Some players decide after looking at just 1 card. If the first card is good, continuing to play Blind and peeking at 1 more card at a time can reduce costs.

Telling a Winning Position from a Losing One

Reading the Game

When facing a High Card situation, carefully assess your odds before deciding to call — folding once can be the better decision when it means losing less.

Playing Consistently

Mindset

Chasing losses right after a bad round leads to tilt. Sticking to a pre-set bet limit and session limit gives better results in the long run.
